Under the Federal Trade Commission Act: Advertising must be truthful and non-deceptive; Advertisers must have evidence to back up their claims; and Advertisements cannot be unfair.

Additional laws apply to ads for specialized products and the State of California has consumer protection laws that govern ads running in California.

The Federal Trade Commission website www.ftc.gov is updated almost every day. Before running an ad, check out what the FTC has had to say about products or advertising claims similar to yours.

In addition, you can visit www.consumer.gov for consumer and business information from the FTC, FDA, SEC, and other federal agencies. You also may want to check with the Better Business Bureau www.bbb.org for tips on truthful advertising, the BBB's voluntary Code of Advertising, and information about scams targeting small businesses.

The RAAS® is only responsible for providing advertising space, and is not liable for the content of advertisements appearing in The RAAS®. All advertising content is the responsibility of the advertiser

The RAAS® does not accept articles from advertisers. Under no conditions will placement of advertising be contingent upon the publication of an article, or vice versa. The RAAS® does not review products or publish product/company-related articles. Advertising which simulates reading matter will be plainly marked "advertisement" in a typeline above or below the insertion, in accordance with postal regulations.

All advertising must be clearly different in style from editorial. Advertising should in no way suggest that a product or service has the endorsement of The RAAS® or any of its departments. We do not accept full-page text ads.

The RAAS® reserves the right to determine the placement of all advertisements.

All advertising orders must include the advertiser’s registered business name, mailing/billing address and telephone number. All advertising must be prepaid by the advertising deadline.

Advertisers are expected to guarantee their products and services.

AD change requests will not be accepted after the closing date (deadlines may be different each month). An advertiser may change the copy of the ad in any issue. The ad will be repeated as in the previous issue if the The RAAS® has not received new copy by the specified issue deadline.

Outstanding payments must be brought up-to-date before any new advertising will be inserted.

The RAAS® reserves the right to reject advertising which it deems unsuitable and to refuse acceptance from advertisers of questionable credit or trade standing.

The RAAS® reserves the right to reject ads that practice the "bait-and-switch" method, that make competitive statements widely acknowledged to be unfair or inaccurate, or that promote illegal or harmful activities or substances.

All ad contracts/agreements are non-refundable and can not be cancelled for any reason (Advertiser can request that the ad be removed for the remainder of the contract/agreement period but payment will still be due and payable each month) Ad contracts/agreements can not be transferred, shared or given away.

Coverage areas and distribution/circulation amounts may need to be expanded and/or reduced for business reasons if/when necessary by the publisher without notice to the advertiser. The distribution/circulation in a specific coverage area may need to be determined by the amount of ads contained within the book and or by the demographics of the area. The guaranteed-minimum distribution/circulation in a specific coverage area each month is 25,000 copies.

Ads from network marketing or multi-level companies will be strictly scrutinized for credibility and legality. Business opportunity ads will only be accepted from companies that do not charge for information about the opportunity and that do not make unrealistic claims.

When a website link is to be mentioned in a print ad, and for all online advertising, the advertiser's website must provide sufficient detail about the business/services and/or products to be sold.

The Publisher reserves the right to interpret these or any other guidelines which may be put in place from time to time, and to refuse any ad that is deemed not to follow them. For clarification or further information, contact the publisher via email (info@theraas.com) or phone (877) 771.RAAS.
